Farewell

Well, friends, we had a good run ol’ Geesick and I. Our time together and the BYU has now officially come to a close, as I (Connor) will be transferring to the TRUE School of the Prophets, the University of Utah. While there, I hope to indulge my carnal side by partaking in delights such as Mountain Dew and original Coke. I also hope to wear sandals on campus and maybe, just maybe, have people over PAST midnight!

Aaron will be staying in Cougarville to hold the fort down with our dear friend Beck. I will truly miss living with those two. Every night was an adventure and I could count on Aaron coming home proclaiming that “I saw the hottest girl ever today, dude!” or Matt yelling “Schone, I think I met my wife today, man. I’m serious.” On an almost daily basis. While both remained single, there was a never ending supply of females rotating in and out of Alpine Village for those two.

From midnight burrito/Jarritos runs to Aaron and Matt pounding on my locked door to wake me up, I loved every second of being in Provo and living the dream. While my dream has taken me north, I’m saddened to leave Happy Valley.

So evidently I need to take the time to write a quick post. It is hard to believe that in one week my first year at the BYU will be over. I was talking with my dad the other day and he mentioned something that was very true. He said isn’t it interesting how much you change, and how much you learn in just over a year being home from the mission. I told him that he was dead on in the fact that you really do learn a change a lot. I have learned so many concepts and principles at school…and just as much in the whole dating school as well. I will admit that people told me that soon after being here in Provo I would find some girl and be married. To all those people one year down and no prospects of marriage. The weather is finally starting to come around which makes me excited to think that summer is soon here. The other day Connor and I were sitting in the living room and as it was time for Matt to go visit one of his usuals…(I wonder who?) and as he was leaving he kept on looking for his cell phone. I think he probably asked at least 10 times if we had seen his phone. We were like Matt, honestly you lose everything so just keep looking and I bet it will turn up soon. We called his phone several times as he would look for it but he could not seem to find it. Well after his 10 minute search he finally found it on top of the toilet turned off. Haha oh Matt we sure do love him.

the boys are back in town

So after some not-so-gentle prodding (Karli and Takael), I've decided to kick it up a notch with this whole blog thing. Since it is now spring break in all of the non-BYU parts of the world, Spilk made his way up to Provo to stay with us. Kevin soon joined after Brad and Smalls made a midnight run to STG to pick him up. What ensued can only be described as madness and mayhem. It was a great weekend filled with parties, rock climbing, greasing it up, sucking face (for some), and floorboarding it all over the place. Althouh I missed out on the rock climbing and some of the partying, it was a weekend to remember for sure. It's great that we are all still such good friends after all these years and while living in different places.

School has been a struggle thus far and even though I hired a tutor for calc, it still isn't going so great. Half the time I feel like giving up and the other half I feel like plowling forward. So far, the plowing forward side is winning the battle. Anywho, have some pictures. please thank you.

Well frick, it's been awhile. Aaron and I keep talking about posting on here, but we never seem to get around to it. I'll drag him on later tonight to give an update. Anywho, what can I say? We've been studying our brains out and thats about it. Oh yeah, and bowling every wednesday night! I'm still working at 7 am every morning, so I still go to bed at 11 every night and then wake up at 2 when Aaron and Matt get home from whatever girls they were with that night. Classes are crazy, especially Calc and I'm gearing up for the home stretch. G-Unit got his mission call to Guatemala City North and leaves June 3rd. The End.

classes are...... exhausting!

so............ We've now started the new semester and I can safely say that it's gonna be a doozy. We're now living at Alpine Village with our good friend Mr. Matt Beck. It's a true pleasure to have the Beckinator joining us this semester and possibly beyond. For those of you who don't know, feel free to stop by #414 in the main building whenever you dang well please.

I'm taking Accounting, Economics, Political Science, Calculus, and BoM this semester so I think I might become just slightly overwhelmed. Add that to my new work schedule of 7 am till noon and let's just say my sleeping pattern has been disrupted. If any of you know anything about Calculus, help would be greatly appreciated.

I took a quick little trip down to St. George with Levi on New Year's Eve. On the way down, we got a call from Geesick telling us he was thinking about having a little party at his place but didn't know what to do. We suggested a dance party, Levi called his cousin to book a sound system, I volunteered to DJ, and BAM! We had a party. We began setting stuff up at around 6:00 pm and by 8:30, we were ready to go. The party started at 10:00 but didn't really get going till around 10:45. We ended up packing Aaron's garage with 100+ people and at one point, 71 cars were counted outside his house. As the clock struck midnight, we all went around back to watch the fireworks from the Stone Cliff ledge. After, Brad started the music up again until 12:30 when everyone "walked it out." A few friends stuck around however and we had a little after party till around 1:30. Aaron and I then went over to the Staples residence and hung out with Kael, Karly, Jordan, Karli, and the Staples fam for a bit. All in all it was an excellent end to 2008 and a great beginning to 2009.
